Michael Julian, CPI, PPS, CSP, has made a career of providing private investigation and security services since the mid 1980’s. A licensed private investigator and security company owner in multiple states, Julian is trained in asset and executive protection, behavioral threat assessment of active shooters, covert protection, aviation security, surveillance and surveillance detection, and more.
In 1967, Julian’s first important mentor, his father Ron Julian, founded their company, National Business Investigations (NBI). Thirty years later, he took over his father’s role, expanding NBI to provide security services for individuals, events, communities, and businesses. Thus, MPS Security & Protection was born.
In 2015, Julian, who serves on the board of directors for the National Association for Missing and Exploited Children and has held leadership positions with several industry associations including the California Association of Licensed Investigators and World Association of Detectives, created the ALIVE active-shooter survival program and now teaches it to individuals and organizations across the United States.
